Fenwick Parva is a relatively new--but prolific--publisher that already enjoys a wide-spread reputation for high-quality production of important music at reasonable prices.

Fenwick Parva was founded by Carl Bangs, a versatile and multi-talented musician. As an experienced and well-connected conductor, carillonneur, horn player, and composer, Carl was often approached by other musicians seeking his help in locating significant but rare pieces of music. Unfortunately, many such works had become unavailable because the accountants at some of the big publishing houses couldn't justify their continued publication as a contribution to the corporate profit strategy. In more and more cases, Carl found himself actually obtaining and providing scores, often from primary sources. He clearly saw an unfilled niche for a music publisher dedicated to the needs of performers, composers, and listeners instead of comptrollers.
In 1995 Carl established that firm amid the forests northeast of Spokane, Washington. There, the cost of living--and thus the cost of doing business--is low; but modern technology and communications are readily available. So, with the blessing and support of numerous local, regional, and international musical organizations, Fenwick Parva Press came into being.
Initially, most of Fenwick Parva's publications were works for the Carillon. The operation grew rapidly, though. To date, Fenwick Parva has published over 270 works representing every period from baroque to contemporary.
